The Boise and Eliot neighborhoods are home to historic tree plantings, and many of these trees are at or near the end of their lives. This program is available to property owners in Portland’s Boise and Eliot neighborhoods who need financial help to remove and replace dead or dying street trees.
Since 2016, Albina ReLeaf has assisted over 25 homeowners in the removal of hazardous trees. With the help of our partner organizations we plan to double that number this year! The Albina Neighborhood Tree Team (ANTT) is a group of volunteers working to beautify the Boise and Eliot neighborhoods.
As part of this program, volunteers coordinate the removal of your street tree and handle all the permitting (for FREE!), work with Friends of Trees to find a suitable replacement (for FREE!), and plant your new replacement tree (for FREE!). We even help your tree survive its first few years with regular watering.
All you have to do is sign up below! Deadline is December 15th, 2017.
Step 1: Sign up with ANTT to be part of the Re-Leaf program.
Step 2: Select your replacement tree through Friends of Trees.
Step 3: ANTT will do all the paperwork and your problem tree will be removed by early February, 2018
Step 4: Plant your tree with Friends of Trees on February 17th , 2018.
